The Diving took place at Cape Palos, South East Spain. It is a natural ecological preserve full of sea life and with incredible diving opportunities.
A focus of the trip was the diving course for certification as an Open Water Diver, Advance Open Water Diver or Rescue Diver, depending on previous certifications. The students dived and visited different wrecks such as the “Naranjito”.
Our students also participated in two different ecological investigations, one overseen by a Riverside science teacher and the other, an investigation run by the Oceanographic Center of Murcia, where the students will participate as volunteers collecting and interpreting ecological data for the Centre. The theory, skills and applications used and developed in these investigations relates well to aspects covered within IGCSE Science and IB Biology and Environment Systems and Societies courses.
Riverside graduates have been accepted to some of the most prestigious universities around the world.
