Nine intrepid Year 10 students headed to the UK in May for Riverside’s annual Shakespeare trip. The first stop was London, where they attended performances of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and ‘The Taming of the Shrew’, toured the Globe theatre and explored a Shakespeare exhibition at the British Library. They all then headed to Stratford-upon-Avon, visiting Shakespeare’s birthplace, his wife’s house and his final resting place – as well as participating in a workshop on ‘Romeo and Juliet’ led by academics and actors. There was also time for a guided river cruise in London and a visit to a typical Cotswolds village for an evocative slice of English life.
Riverside graduates have been accepted to some of the most prestigious universities around the world.
