Through Readers for Life each Junior High Student has access to the most recent novels for 11 – 14 year olds. They borrow the books from the school and are encouraged to read during the day, during tutor groups and at the end of lessons. The initiative, created by Mr Callum Philbin, Head of English is to encourage students to become excited about reading. To read ‘actual’ novels, which they keep with them in their laptop bags. There are Reading & Recreation trips to the Riverside Ranch to help our students to ‘Get Lost’ in a Book.
Riverside graduates have been accepted to some of the most prestigious universities around the world.
