The Riverside Challenge was a fabulous event that challenged our students creatively and to “think outside of the box”. Following a private screening of Night At The Museum 3, our students visited the Museum of Communism. They observed how information was presented in informative and interesting ways and used this as inspiration for the following two days of workshops. On Thursday and Friday the students opted to join a workshop group in the following areas; Art, Drama, Photography, Documentary Film Making and ICT. The results were incredible! We created a Museum Of Our Time: amongst the many creative offerings, the ICT workshop made micro food that was used in a computer game of the future and the Art group decoupaged images and literature from the past onto furniture sculptures. These will be displayed in Riverside Arts Week in May. Every student ‘participated and created’ – both teachers and students were very proud of their achievements and we thank all involved in ensuring its success.
Riverside graduates have been accepted to some of the most prestigious universities around the world.
